Mr. Bandak obtained his Master’s degree in Health Systems Administration from Georgetown University in Washington DC. He has been the CEO for Caritas Baby Hospital since May 2011. Previously, he was Hospital Development Officer in the largest healthcare project in Palestine. Before becoming a healthcare professional, Mr. Bandak, who holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) worked in project management, academia, capacity building and consulting. Mr. Bandak is married and father of three children.
Hiyam Marzouqa Awad
After receiving her Medical Doctor degree from the University of Würzburg in Germany, Dr. Hiyam Marzouqa Awad joined Caritas Baby Hospital in 1989 as a resident doctor. She built her career at the Hospital as a pediatrician and acting medical director; she became medical director in 2006. Dr. Marzouqa Awad received the award of “Peter Hünermann KAAD Foundation” for her humanitarian work with underprivileged children in 2015. Dr. Marzouka Awad is married and mother of two children.
Mr. Atallah Araj
Mr. Araj received his Master of Biomedical Engineering in 1994 from Fachhochschule Lübeck, in Germany. He joined Caritas Baby Hospital in 2004 as Head of Technical Services and became Director of Operations in 2015.
He is responsible for all the support services in the Hospital ranging from security and transportation services to the complex IT and biomedical engineering interventions.
Mr. Araj is married with four children.
Mrs. Christine Hazboun Saca
Mrs. Saca’s experience includes financial management, corporate reporting, financial analysis, strategic planning and consultancy. She was a financial expert before joining Caritas Baby Hospital as its Director of Finance in 2016. Mrs. Saca is a New Jersey (NJ) Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Rutgers University.
Mrs. Hazboun Saca is married with two children.
Sr. Lucia Corradin
Sister Lucia Corradin is a member of the Franciscan Elizabethan Sisters of Padua and has been part of Caritas Baby Hospital since 1975. She was named manager of the Neonatal Ward in 2002 and has been the focal person for the patient safety and quality assurance since 2007. In summer 2018, Sister Lucia became the Nursing Director. She is an active member of the Hospital’s clowns therapy group “Band of Smile”.
