The staff and management of Caritas Baby Hospital welcomed today Sister Aleya Kattakayam, Sister Priya Antony, Sister Bency Paul, and Sister Felicita Pohkynteng from St. Francis Convent of Secunderabad Province, India.
The new sisters are part of the Suore di carità dette di Maria Bambina (Sisters of Charity) based in Milan, Italy. They are known globally for their contributions in the field of social work.
On this occasion, the Chief Executive Officer Issa Bandak commented on the joyful arrival of the sisters:
“This is indeed a special day of CBH, to welcome the Sisters of Charity with whom we share the spirit of our mission in serving all children regardless of their background".
The Sisters of Charity will succeed the Elizabetean sisters of Padua who completed their service at Caritas Baby Hospital and the Holy Land in 2020.
