Caritas Baby Hospital Concludes the Early Detection of Breast Cancer Activities

Throughout the month of September, Caritas Baby Hospital hosted the mobile clinic for early detection of breast cancer affiliated with Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem.

During their presence in CBH, the mobile clinic staff performed breast cancer screening for around two hundred female employees and local women with the latest technologies. The specialists also trained the beneficiaries on self-examination and raised their awareness on the disease.

It is crucial to highlight that in Palestine in particular, the disease is at the forefront of cancers that affect females. According to the Ministry of Health, breast cancer represents 31% of the total reported cases of cancer. However, breast cancer treatment can be highly effective, especially when the disease is identified early.
