The Palestinian Medical Council recently accredited Caritas Baby Hospital as a teaching hospital for the full pediatric residency program (four years) within the national training program.
This achievement comes due to the diversity and development of pediatric services, which include intensive care, subspecialties, and other specialized pediatric services within the facilities of Caritas Baby Hospital. The program also includes a six-month residency at the Holy Family Hospital due to the availability of the maternity and nursery department.
Regarding this important step, the Chief Medical Officer of Caritas Baby Hospital, Dr. Ra’fat Allawi, said: “This success is attributed to the hospital’s progress in terms of services and education. We are proud of the quality services provided by Caritas Baby Hospital, which contribute to the well-being of Palestinian children and make it an educational center on a national level”.
Caritas Baby Hospital accommodates ten resident doctors who, during their residency, gain experience in pediatrics under the supervision and evaluation of the hospital’s medical staff. Trainee doctors are also given the opportunity to participate in scientific research under the supervision of the Research Committee.
