The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing safe, evidence-based, family-centred nursing care to paediatric patients in accordance with hospital policies, professional nursing standards, and patient safety requirements.

Position Details:

  • Provides professional nursing care in a holistic manner, including health promotion and maintenance.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate appropriate corrective actions when required.
  • Perform appropriate interventions as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Obtain blood samples and insert peripheral intravenous cannulas as required.
  • Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic and adverse effects.
  • Assist physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in patients' medical records.
  • Participate in effective shift handovers to ensure continuity of patient care.
  • Facilitate patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
  • Provides assessment and age-appropriate care to children admitted to the Wards.
  • Comply with hospital policies and internationally recognized patient safety and infection prevention and control standards.
  • Provide education, support, and guidance to patients and their families.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in nursing.
  • Valid nursing license to practice in Palestine.
  • Good command in English language.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic health record systems.
  • Able to work as a part of a team or individually with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work rotating and flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Knowledge of pediatric nursing principles
