Our cardiologist provides treatment to children that have an array of congenital heart diseases, including cardiomyopathy, heart viral infections, endocarditis and acute rheumatic fever.

The pediatric endocrinology clinic at Caritas Baby Hospital provides medical care for children suffering from gland disorders, which may lead to hormonal imbalance or damage to the hormone-producing glands. Eating and ingestion disorders are quite prevalent among babies and children and range from mild to severe. Food aversion, vomiting, picky eating, weight loss, and difficult transitioning of solid food are some of the common symptoms.

The dietician also acts as a consultant to our medical staff by providing specialized information on therapeutic diets and milk formula preparations.

Nutrition services include the assessment of the nutritional intake, anthropometric measurements, lab tests, counseling inpatients and outpatients, and providing medical nutrition therapy to patients with various health conditions, which include, but are not limited to, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, inflammatory bowel diseases, renal failure, obesity, failure to thrive, picky eaters, and underweight children.

Spinal deformities, cerebral palsy, feet and hip deformities and Osteogenesis imperfecta, as well as the treatment of and follow-up with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) conditions are among this clinic’s specialties.

The pediatric pulmonary clinic at Caritas Baby Hospital provides a comprehensive evaluation of infants and children with various respiratory complaints. Our specialist provides diagnostic services and therapy for diverse respiratory diseases including asthma, chest infections, congenital lung diseases, bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), and patients on oxygen therapy or with tracheostomy. 

In addition, the hospital runs a national specialized clinic for cystic fibrosis (CF). CF patients from all over the West Bank are followed up at our clinic, where they receive specialized comprehensive care. We are also collaborating with other international organizations to provide more extensive diagnostic testing for patients with Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD).

The pulmonary clinic diagnostic tests include pulmonary function test, sweat chloride test, nasal nitric oxide, Thoracentesis, hard copy pulse oximetry study and laryngoscopy.

Additionally, the specialist follows up with patients suffering from uveitis, vasculitis like Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP), Behcet's (beh-CHETS) disease, also called Behcet's syndrome, as well as connective tissue diseases, including Scleroderma and Dermatomyositis.
