Caritas Baby Hospital has launched its pediatric day surgery project by contracting Nino Engineering and Consulting after winning the tender for the building design and supervision on construction.
Following the decision of the hospital's operating organization Children’s Relief Bethlehem (CRB) to construct, the responsible committee is currently following up the process of developing the building’s conceptual and schematic design that takes into consideration the international hospital planning standards for a child friendly environment. The hospital also concluded the soil investigation and moved the olive trees in preparation for the construction works. The new building will be connected to the current hospital building to ensure proper flow of operation and accessibility to the existing medical facilities.
Up until today, most of the construction cost has been secured through fundraising efforts, and we are still fundraising for the finishing works, medical equipment and furnishing.
