On Sunday October 9, Children’s Relief Bethlehem board member Jutta Biermayer concluded her charity-cycling ride in the West Bank and Israel in benefit for the sick children treated in Caritas Baby Hospital.
Starting her tour on 21 September, Biermayer was challenged by the hot weather, some muddy trails, and frequent flat tires. Nonetheless, her commitment to the good cause prevented her from surrender and she managed to reach 500 km.
On this tour, Biermayer says: “this is one of the most memorable experiences in my life. I learnt a lot about the local culture and Nature. I met very friendly people who helped me throughout my tour”. She added: “I am very thrilled to be able to contribute to the important work that the hospital offers for the Palestinian children through the charity-cycling ride”.
It is worth highlighting that this tour is being supported by the Catholic Women's Community in Germany (kfd) associated with the Archdiocese of Freiburg.
